How to Live a Christian Life
Do not trust your feelings.
You are saved because God’s Word says so. Believe His Word and not your feelings. “But as many received him, to them gave he power of become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name.” John 1:12 “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved” Romans 10:9.
Realize that you are no longer a servant to sin.
“For sin shall not have dominion over you.” Romans 6:14 This does not mean you will not be tempted. Jesus was tempted in all points as you Hebrews 4:15, but He used the weapon of God’s Word to overcome Satan Matthew 4:1-11.
Study your Bible every day.
“Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” II Timothy 2:15 Just as we must eat to nourish our natural bodies, we must read and study God’s Word (the Bible) to grow spiritually.” Luke 4:4.
Make prayer a daily habit.
Everyday without ceasing, talk to God and tell him everything, including your needs I Thessalonians 5:17, Luke 18:1 God will answer your prayer. John 14:13.
Do not be ashamed to confess him.
Confess Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, tell your family and friends. Romans 10:10, Matthew 10:32-33. Live so that others will want to accept Christ Matthew 5:16.
Worship regularly.
God said not to forsake the assembling of ourselves together. Hebrew 10:25 Look for a church to worship in that preaches, teaches and lives the Word of God. Get involved there in prayer, fellowship and Bible studies so that you can continue to grow in your walk with the Lord. Psalms 12:1; Hebrews 10:25.
